Dear Mason,
It is obvious my
writing skills leave a lot to be desired, but
I hope I have at least convinced you that I am
speaking from the heart.
I received only
two replies to my last letter. One was
from a friend and the other from a stranger.
I feel a sense of urgency because I realize
that light down the tunnel is not the other
end, but a locomotive bearing down on us. When
I talked it over with the Lord, he reminded me
again that he works in mysterious ways and
impressed on me that I need to work harder. I
fear for your future Mason! What I
can do is all I can do, but
with God's blessing, I mean to do it!
Here are the two
responses:
"I received
your message to Mason and do not know
exactly what to say in response. I
feel your pain, to quote Bill, but am
satisfied there is little you or I can do
about it."
"Mr. Anthony,
Thanks for sharing your letter. Mason
is indeed fortunate to have a grandfather
that truly cares about his future.
There are volumes that I could write to you
about the contents of your letter. But,
the best summary I can say is that you are
right-on and that I am privileged to stand
beside you in the political battle for our
Freedom.
Just a couple of points on how to accomplish
the task. We cannot expect the topdown
Democrat and Republican parties to fix the
mess that they have wrought. They will
not. They must be replaced by real
freedom loving people, not politicians.
The great news is that it only takes a
tireless, committed minority to return our
Nation to freedom through Constitutional
governance and a suitable vehicle, the
America Founding Fathers Party, a true
bottoms-up party. We must prove again
that the Founding Fathers, a small minority
in their day, were correct.
Another positive point is that, assuming
that the Founding Fathers were correct and I
believe that they were, freedom is a God
given right and the fight for freedom is an
expression of our thanks to God for one of
our most precious blessings. In that
light, God is certainly on our side, not the
side of the Elite. There is no better
ally to have in any battle. However,
as you have so plainly indicated, that does
not mean that we can wait, do nothing, and
expect God to rescue us.
This coming January (2004) the affiliated
State Party Organizations of the America
Founding Fathers Party will be launching a
committed effort to grow their respective
State Party membership and to create other
State Parties in all 50 States. We
must build the house of Freedom with a solid
foundation by winning elections at the local
and State levels. There is still
tremendous power at the these levels. Unless
we establish a strong local and State base,
we will fall victim to the same failures of
all the other parties that have come before
us. Failure is not an option.
I am looking forward working with you during
the coming months and years. Again,
thanks for sharing your letter.
Gene Lovell
Chair, America First Party of Georgia
President, America Founding Fathers Party
PS: I have taken the liberty of
sharing your letter, and my response, with
the other members of the America First Party
of Georgia and the other affiliated States
of the America Founding Fathers Party."
You may wonder who I think I am grandson. I
am a shy, humble man. I'm nobody,
outside my family and friends and I'm
just one of the "boys" with
them. My motivation is not personal
publicity, financial gain, nor elective
office. I am perfectly happy to be known as
Mason's granddad. I am sure none of us feel
qualified to take on this task. I hope
that more capable individuals will volunteer
to serve and that we would all serve,
if drafted, and if not drafted volunteer our
services to those who are. Saving our
country will require us all to serve in
whatever humble fashion. People like us
are the only chance we have. We could
not make things any worse than all our
educated, capable, professional politicians
have saddled us with. Our elected
officials, sworn to protect our
Constitution, have sold us out. Rich
or poor, freedom is priceless.
Upon reflection, a
new declaration of independence should be a
clear and simple declaration of the will of
the people to remain free. We can work
out everything else later. All
freedom loving people should
be eager to declare their intent to remain
free. We can change the course of
history. A US House of Representatives
compromised of regular citizens of undeclared
political affiliation, or labels, but who
are all pledged to this new
declaration would save our freedom. Ordinary people
throughout history have done extraordinary
things. It will require many ordinary people
to pull this off.
May a second incarnation of Thomas
Jefferson, or a new hero, step forward
quickly.
A profound and
elegantly worded document could provide a
rallying point for all our divergent groups.
We have to work together. Surely intelligent
people of both sexes, and all races and
religions can do that! If we all
continue to pursue our own selfish interests
we shall surely lose.
Mason, I pray that all
the eagles will spread their wings. We
can show the world what the real American
Eagle, her people, can do. We are Eagles
Mason!" Let them build no
chicken coops for us!
I love you
grandson.
